Sr. Payroll Specialist

A growing financial operations services firm is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing across a multi-state, multi-unit client base. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely payroll while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role is 5 days onsite

• Process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple states
• Maintain payroll records including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and bonuses
• Manage payroll deductions including tax with holdings, benefits, garnishments, and 401(k)
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Reconcile payroll reports and partner with accounting on payroll-related GL entries
• Support year-end reporting (W-2s), ACA compliance, and payroll audits
• Serve as a resource for employee and manager payroll inquiries

• 3+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and wage & hour compliance
• Experience with HRIS/payroll platforms (ADP, Paycor or similar)
• Strong Excel and payroll reporting skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
