OverviewThis is an on-site people-focused role, working closely with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams to support a positive and compliant workplace environment. The HR Generalist supports the full-cycle payroll administration and HR Operations for the organization. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll, and effective delivery of HR services to our employees.
You'll be a key resource for HR related needs, handling everything from onboarding and payroll questions to benefits support and policy guidance. We're looking for someone who's organized, a strong communicator, and confident navigating HR systems to manage employee records, support process improvements, and help drive a culture of engagement and inclusion.
Responsibilities- Administer and process weekly payroll for exempt and nonexempt employees.
- Oversee time and attendance tracking.
- Conduct all aspects of onboarding and assist with employee recruitment.
- Administer employee benefits, leave requests, and ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Review and approve hours for our temp employees.
- Reconcile monthly invoices for accuracy.
- Assist with compliance audits, HR reporting, and documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the HR department and plant leaders.
- Maintain accurate HRIS data entry and manage workforce management systems to ensure data integrity.
- 3+ years relevant experience in Human Resources Management (manufacturing or distribution facility preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience working in a union environment preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Proficiency with HR systems and tools (Net Suite and Paylocity preferred).
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels of the organization.
