Beacon Hill has partnered with a non‑profit organization in hiring a Benefits Administrator to start immediately! This is a contract‑to‑hire role in the Loop supporting roughly 600 employees with benefits administration.
Base pay range$27.00/hr - $36.00/hr
Key Responsibilities- Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, COBRA, 401(k), and wellness initiatives
- Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit inquiries and provide timely resolution of issues
- Assist with open enrollment, benefits communications, and compliance filings (e.g., 5500s, ACA reporting)
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and ensure benefits data integrity
- Liaise with vendors to troubleshoot problems, process enrollments/changes, and ensure quality service
- Coordinate and process leave of absence requests, including FMLA, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
- Support audits, benefit plan renewals, and internal reporting
- 2+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR support with a focus on employee benefits
- Knowledge of federal and state benefit‑related laws (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, FMLA)
- Experience with HRIS and benefits platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- CEBS or other relevant certification a plus
