  • Lead end-to-end recruiting for all roles below manager level across operations, finance, accounting, program support, analysis, and investments.
  • Drive sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate communications, and reporting.
  • Build strong, diplomatic relationships with hiring managers.
  • Create an equitable, positive candidate experience with timely follow-through.

  • HR Generalists with heavy recruiting responsibilities are welcome.
  • Not seeking current managers—ideal for someone who enjoys being an individual contributor.
  • Experience in nonprofit or academia is a plus but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Professional traits:
    Process‑oriented, polished, proactive, detail‑focused, diplomatic, mission‑aligned, well‑spoken, low‑ego, and a true team player.
  • Strong stability and career progression.
Compensation
  • $98,800 starting salary
  • No bonus
Interview Process
  • 45-minute video interview with hiring manager, followed by a 30-minute conversation with HR/scheduling.
  • Final on-site panel interview in Chicago.
  • Why This Role Is Open

The previous employee was ready for management, but the org maintains a lean, flat HR structure. The role offers long-term stability and may grow to Senior TA over time.
