Human Resources Manager

A Chicago-based professional services firm seeking an experienced HR Manager to serve as the primary HR leader for the organization. This is a hands‑on role partnering closely with leadership while owning day‑to‑day HR operations.

• Lead full‑scope HR for a professional services environment
• Act as the main HR point of contact for employees and leadership
• Balance strategic advising with execution across employee relations, policies, benefits, and compliance

• Employee relations, performance management, investigations, and coaching
• Policy development and compliance (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, workers’ comp)
• Benefits administration (medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO)
• Onboarding and offboarding
• Performance review and compensation cycle support
• HR vendor and HRIS management

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience (generalist or manager level)
• Strong employment law and compliance knowledge
• Experience supporting professional services or similar environments preferred
• Strong communication, judgment, and stakeholder management skills

  Full‑time, ~40 hours/week
• Hybrid: 3 days in office

• Base: $90K–$115K (flexible for the right profile)
