About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with an established education organization in Chicago seeking a detail‑oriented and customer‑focused HR Shared Services Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to support employees and HR team members in a collaborative, service‑driven environment.

Job Description:

The HR Shared Services Specialist will serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries related to benefits, leaves of absence, and general HR policies. This individual will provide accurate information, ensure timely resolution of requests, and help maintain a positive employee experience through clear and professional communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to employee questions regarding benefits, FMLA, and leave programs in a timely and empathetic manner.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and eligibility verification.
  • Coordinate with HR business partners and third‑party vendors to resolve complex employee issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of cases and communications in HR systems.
  • Assist with general HR inquiries such as payroll, onboarding, and policy clarification.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in HR support, shared services, or employee benefits administration.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and general leave management processes.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and ticketing systems preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
