SalaryStarting salary: $40,000 – $44,000 per year, based on skill and experience.
Essential Job Functions- Assist Chief People & Culture Officer with scheduling appointments, arranging meetings, preparing correspondence, drafting reports, and managing calendars.
- Maintain confidential employee files (digital and physical) to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with agency policies and legal requirements.
- Help prepare and distribute HR communications, memos, and agency-wide notices.
- Serve as a point of contact for routine HR inquiries, directing employees to appropriate resources and escalating issues when necessary.
- Coordinate employee recognition activities, wellness initiatives, and HR-sponsored events.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and with agency policies and procedures.
- Handle and maintain highly confidential information and use a high degree of sound judgment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Two years of office experience or HR support experience, required.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel), required.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, required.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience managing confidential information.
- High sense of urgency and strong follow‑through, essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to interact appropriately and work well with diverse staff and external constituents.
- May need to travel to other agency sites periodically.
- Flexibility, high collaboration, and quick adaptation to change.
- Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills when dealing with individuals at all levels within the organization and externally.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
- Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.
- Require sitting and standing for sustained periods, frequent talking, hearing, using hands and fingers, and occasionally standing, bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Require close visual acuity for tasks such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
