ResponsibilitiesSummary of
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day support of human resources activities in the Chicago and Minneapolis offices. Duties of this position include assisting with the recruiting process; handling the onboarding process and new hire orientations; ensuring completion of personnel paperwork; overseeing timesheet processing; and data entry into the Firm’s HRIS. The Specialist provides support with the administration of leaves of absence and workers’ compensation as well as working with the Regional HR Manager and Office Administrators in planning Office-related events and activities.
The HR Specialist expects to perform all job duties with a commitment to provide superior service, produce quality work, maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate good judgment, discretion and tact always.
- Two (2) to four (4) years of human resources experience in a law firm or other professional services environment required.
Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The starting salary range for this Chicago position is $70,000 - $80,000.
