LocationWe are considering eligible candidates for this role from any location across the United States.
Responsibilities- Process full‑cycle payroll for US clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
- Review timesheets, employee records, deductions, and adjustments for accuracy before each pay run.
- Resolve payroll inquiries related to taxes, garnishments, direct deposits, PTO, and earnings.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure all payroll data is received, validated, and completed on schedule.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of US wage laws, payroll taxes, labor regulations, and reporting obligations.
- Prepare and review year‑end documents such as W‑2s, 1099s, and quarterly filings.
- Identify payroll discrepancies and escalate or resolve issues accordingly.
- Support implementation and onboarding teams with payroll setup and configuration.
- Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement of payroll workflows.
- 2+ years of US payroll processing experience across multiple states.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including taxes, wage laws, and reporting.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Comfortable working with clients and internal teams in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with payroll platforms, spreadsheets, and payroll reporting tools.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with multi‑state or high‑volume payroll environments.
- CPP or FPC certification (or working toward certification).
- Experience working with SaaS payroll systems.
- Knowledge of workforce management or HRIS systems.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
