  • Compliance & Policy Management: Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain and enforce HR policies and conduct periodic audits.
  • Performance Management & Development: Support managers with performance evaluations, improvement plans, and employee development initiatives.
  • Culture & Engagement: Foster an inclusive and positive culture through employee recognition, engagement activities, and by championing a people-first approach.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Compliance Expertise: Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance (federal and Illinois-specific).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • Systems: Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is required.

Experience with Yardi is a plus. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, discretion, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 (commensurate with experience; flexible for highly qualified candidates)
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Paid time off (vacation, sick leave) and holidays
