Hotel Felix has an exciting full-time opportunity to join our team as a Housekeeping Supervisor. The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily housekeeping operations in assigned guest rooms, public areas, and other hotel sections. This includes ensuring all areas are stocked, cleaned, and maintained in accordance with franchise and corporate standards. The Supervisor will inspect guest rooms to ensure cleanliness meets quality standards, assist Room Attendants as needed, and provide ongoing training to staff.

In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, the Supervisor will assume all managerial duties to ensure smooth operations. Flexibility in scheduling is required, with weekend and evening shifts based on the hotel’s business needs. • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and standards to support safe, efficient operations.
• Supervise Housekeeping and Laundry staff, monitoring cleanliness, productivity, and service standards.
• Assign daily tasks and inspect rooms, including V.I.P. rooms, in management’s absence.
• Oversee shift closing procedures, cart organization, key control, and documentation accuracy.
• Maintain the cleanliness of carts, closets, and assigned areas.
• Communicate with Front Office and Engineering; submit and track maintenance work orders.
• Ensure excellent guest service, including handling V.I.P. and special requests.
• Train Room Attendants and uphold departmental standards.
• Manage Lost and Found procedures and collect keys and assignment sheets at shift end.
• Complete cleaning projects, attend meetings, and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards. Work Environment
• On-site hotel position requiring exposure to typical hotel equipment and conditions. Physical demands are consistent with standard housekeeping supervisory duties.

Qualifications:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Spanish proficiency preferred.
• 2-3 years of progressive experience in hotel operations or a related field required.
• Strong ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedure documents.
• Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence, including proper documentation of dates and times.
• Demonstrated ability to apply deductive reasoning and follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• This position requires the ability to stand, walk, and use hands for handling or manipulating objects. Employees must also be able to reach with arms, talk, hear, and occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee may occasionally lift or move items ranging from 25 to 50 pounds. Compensation: $27 per hour
