About Our Property

Welcome to the World of Whirlpool, a unique and innovative closed‑market facility nestled in the heart of Chicago. Operating as a dedicated Training and Conference Center, our purpose revolves around supporting the Sales Enablement team for Whirlpool Corporation. Situated within our building, the 8th floor is transformed into a state‑of‑the‑art showroom, featuring 11 fully functional kitchens. This remarkable space serves as a hands‑on training ground for trade partners, including sales representatives from renowned companies such as Home Depot.

In 2010, Whirlpool made a strategic decision to create its own showroom floor, eliminating the need to transport appliances to trade shows. At Pyramid Global Hospitality, our role is pivotal in supporting this endeavor. We provide comprehensive hospitality services, including housekeeping, food and beverage offerings, meticulous event setups, and overall operational support. We take pride in our role as creators, seizing the opportunity to foster a heart connection in the training and sales process.

What You Will Have An Opportunity To Do

BASIC FUNCTION:
This position oversees and executes day‑to‑day operational functions of the World of Whirlpool, ensuring the successful delivery of live and virtual experiences, meetings, and private functions. Responsibilities include operational planning, staffing oversight, facility readiness, interdepartmental coordination, and hands‑on execution of AV and technical needs to ensure all meetings, workshops, and private functions are executed accurately, safely, and to brand standards.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday (minimal weekends/nights) & (11) Paid Holidays

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years’ supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Experience in hospitality, events, facilities, or operations preferred.
  • Ability to make quick decisions in high‑stress situations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Essential Functions
  • Oversee daily operations of the World of Whirlpool, including meetings, workshops, virtual experiences, and private functions.
  • Lead operational team to ensure proper and accurate setup, execution, teardown, and cleaning of events.
  • Knowledge and understanding of audiovisual equipment and setup, including general use of laptops, projectors, microphones, and display monitors.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and clients to plan, schedule, and execute events according to predetermined specifications.
