First Lady is seeking a Beverage Director to oversee upscale bar service on board our tours and private events. This full-time, year-round position includes creating a dynamic and attractive beverage and snack program, managing ordering, vendors, and training, recruiting and helping our fantastic seasonal bar team succeed. Qualified candidates will thrive in a fun tourism environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to guests visiting Chicago from all over the world.

Responsibilities
  • Manages all beverage outlets at First Lady including equipment.
  • Manage all Bar positions, including scheduling, developing and coaching employees, motivating the team and continuing to drive sales.
  • Manage beverage purchasing, menu design, marketing of new products and VIP customer requests.
  • Work with the entire management team and lead all FOH bar staff during service.
  • Ensure bar programs remain creative, efficient and profitable.
  • Ensure clear and efficient direction in the standards and practices of the beverage program.
  • Develop, lead, and execute a beverage program that adds quality, value, and enhances the guest experience while making financially sound decisions.
  • Create reports for sales, costs and inventory.
  • Build and maintain win-win relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications
  • An affinity for and appreciation of service and hospitality
  • Excellent communications skills and management experience
  • Ability to lead and develop staff succeed in a fast paced, high volume sales environment
  • Strong knowledge of Toast POS
  • Professional and personable with excellent customer service skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Organized and dependable
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 21 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Covid-19 Vaccinated
  • Able to pass background/credit check and pre-employment drug test
