Job Description

What you will be doing
You are at the heart of the hotel! As a Housekeeping Turndown Attendant, you are instrumental in maintaining the hotel for both our internal and external guests and the luxury standards our guests come for. You are happiest when you are helping others and enjoy working in a job where you are constantly on the move and accomplishing tasks — and it just so happens you’ll be doing just that in an award-winning hotel.

  • Properly cleaning and maintaining the assigned areas of the hotel
  • Prepare turndown cart with necessary supplies – linen, cleaning supplies, and all required items.
  • Execute turndown and service guest rooms according to standard
  • Attendant should report to Housekeeping to pick up turndown assignment sheet and radio
  • Report rooms that have a Do Not Disturb sign or that are double locked to the PM Supervisor/PM Manager to be logged
  • Wash all bathroom fixtures, shower walls, floors, and mirrors as needed
  • Picking up and removing all visible trash and room service items
  • Report all deficiencies
  • Report Earth Day, Every Day rooms
  • Complete special projects as assigned by leader/supervisor
  • Completing inventory assignments
  • Complete guest requests and staff request calls
  • Actively participate in afternoon briefings
  • Assist with training of new employees
  • Providing warm and friendly service for both internal or external guests
  • Participating in any scheduled training and development programs
  • Following all safety rules, emergency procedures and fire prevention regulations
  • Reporting maintenance items
  • Returning all lost and found articles to Risk Management
  • Following all hotel and departmental policies and procedures and service standards
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned
Physical aspects of the position
  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Constant bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
  • Occasional lifting and carrying over 50 lbs
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Qualifications
  • Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
  • Warm, caring and helpful
