Position: Diet Technician (Diet Tech)

At Elevate Care, we are dedicated to providing quality care in a warm and supportive environment. Our Dietary team plays an important role in ensuring residents receive nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet their medical and personal needs.

Position Summary

The Dietary Technician supports the nutritional needs of residents by assisting with meal planning, diet modifications, food preparation, and monitoring dietary compliance. This role works closely with the Dietitian, Dietary Manager, Nursing staff, and other team members to promote resident health and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and preparing meals that meet physician‑prescribed diets and resident preferences.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and served in accordance with sanitation, safety, and quality standards.
  • Record and track residents’ dietary intake and report concerns to the Dietitian or Nursing staff.
  • Support the implementation of individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Provide guidance to residents and families on dietary needs as directed.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, proper food storage, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with nursing and dietary staff to ensure residents’ dietary needs are met.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare, nursing home, or dietary setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Serv Safe certification or willingness to obtain preferred.
