Position: Field Service Engineer (Biomed Tech Ass't) ENTRY LEVEL - Chicago

Field Service Engineer 2 (Bio Med Tech Asst) experience a unique opportunity to employ their technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will be responsible for installing, updating, completing preventative maintenance and other services as needed for GI/Endoscopy devices used in hospitals and outpatient settings across the United States, while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform software upgrades which will include powering on the unit, inserting USB, awaiting confirmational alerts, restarting unit and confirming software applied.
  • Document completion of each upgrade via serial number and upgrade form.
  • Coordinate with hospital staff and Client staff for planning activities onsite.
  • Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff.
  • Conduct routine checks from product tests after installation and configuration.
  • Commitment to role requires ability to travel regionally and potentially nationally.
  • Assignment-based schedule averaging 32 hours/week.
  • Complete other duties at the discretion of management.
  • Duties may require compliance with client requirements that all those performing services on-site be fully vaccinated including Covid-19.
    ** Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing**

    Job Requirements:

  • Prior field service experience or strong mechanical skills required.
  • Background in biomedical, networking, military, or field-based technician roles, is a plus.
  • Experience working in a technical role within a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work effectively independently or in a team environment.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills required.
  • Customer facing, brand representative.
  • Professional business acumen and effective communication skills required.
  • Must have an active and valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle for local work-related assignments.
  • 30-45 miles of a major airport is preferred as weekly travel is required.
  • This position will require regional travel and potentially will require that you travel nationally.
