Associate Director, Field Marketing – Illinois

Join Bio Space as Associate Director, Field Marketing – Illinois and become a key member of the Dermatology marketing team, supporting Illinois and neighboring states.

About the Role

The position focuses on cultivating long‑term relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in psoriasis across the U.S. and shaping brand strategy through strategic partnerships, meaningful dialogue, and positioning Takeda as a leader in PsO.

Director, Head of HCP Engagements

How You Will Contribute
  • KOL Engagement
    • Identify, cultivate, and maintain long‑term relationships with national and regional KOLs and Advanced Practice Providers in dermatology.
    • Develop and execute strategic engagement plans aligned with brand objectives.
    • Ensure compliant, accurate, and balanced scientific communication.
    • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence to inform strategy.
    • Act as liaison between KOLs and Takeda leadership.
  • Insight Generation
    • Capture and analyze customer insights to identify regional and national trends.
    • Share insights with cross‑functional stakeholders to support strategy and tactics.
    • Disseminate insights in a structured format for brand planning.
  • Advisory Boards
    • Plan and execute advisory board meetings to gather insights on disease management.
    • Identify, recruit, and engage advisors.
    • Facilitate post‑meeting debriefs and synthesize actionable recommendations.
  • Congress and Conferences
    • Support strategy, planning, and execution of congresses.
    • Attend congresses and conferences; synthesize and share insights.
    • Organize KOL engagement opportunities related to congresses.
    • Facilitate post‑event debriefs.
  • P2P Engagements
    • Lead partnerships with field leadership to optimize marketing strategies.
    • Identify and prioritize educational needs and initiate programs.
    • Support speaker bureau development and communication.
  • Cross‑functional Partnership
    • Serve as a strategic bridge between internal teams and external thought leaders.
    • Coordinate to ensure professional engagement activities are compliant and aligned.
    • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks and lead initiatives without formal authority.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Marketing, Strategy, or Business Administration (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years progressive experience in biopharmaceutical marketing or sales, with 3+ years in KOL management.
  • Experience developing engagement plans for thought leaders.
  • Experience in Speaker Bureau strategy, training, content development, and national programs.
  • Strong leadership, direction setting, alignment, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent collaboration and influence skills across teams.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and strategic thinking.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, learning agility, financial acumen, and budgeting experience.
  • Skilled in using AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation.
Preferred
  • Experience in the Psoriasis therapeutic market.
  • New product launch experience.
  • Knowledge of buy‑and‑bill reimbursement models and payer dynamics.
  • Skilled in complex biologics.
Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including conferences on weekends and overnight programs.
