Work Schedule: 40 hrs/week

Shift: 7 am - 5:30 pm

REQUIREMENTS:

• BLS (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained
• ARRT - R and license as required by State or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab preferred
• Cardiovascular technologist training with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• CPI required
• Two professional references
• Available to start ASAP
• On-call required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assist physicians with procedures, operate special procedure equipment, and modify technical factors as needed. Serve as a resource for complex procedures, applying knowledge to improve practices and sharing improvements with team members.
• Monitor, record, and evaluate patient vital signs during procedures. Ensure radiation safety standards, use collimation, immobilization, and maintain sterile techniques, following infection control procedures.
• Operate and maintain physiologic and cardiac cath equipment, report malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot simple issues.
• Assist cardiologists, radiologists, or physicians during procedures and in administering media via catheter or injection. Help with catheterization, filming, and patient monitoring.
• Complete documentation, record charges, perform general office duties, and maintain cleanliness and stock in the procedures room.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. On-call required.
