Overview
Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital is dedicated to providing behavioral health and psychiatric support to children and teens ages 3 to 17. Responsibilities- Serve as a key member of the hospital leadership team as Manager of Risk Management and Performance Improvement.
- Organize, plan, develop, implement and oversee all performance improvement activities of the hospital.
- Coordinate, oversee and participate in the functioning of all medical staff and hospital committees; act as liaison between committees and teams; interface with medical staff and department directors; ensure reports are submitted as required.
- Coordinate and actively participate in the preparation of all external agency surveys.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for the PI department; maintain current policies and procedures.
- Coordinate risk management efforts and make recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure in alignment with Garfield Park Hospital’s philosophy and objectives.
- Provide information and collaboration as needed to support hospital quality and safety initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree;
Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred. - Experience: Prefer 4 years clinical experience with a psychiatric/mental health population; 2 years in a supervisory position.
- Licensure/Certification: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of risk management and performance improvement principles in a healthcare environment; current knowledge of regulating/accrediting agency guidelines; basic computer skills and statistical analysis knowledge desired.
