Position: Director of Respiratory Services

We are seeking a strategic leader who can manage staff supporting multiple departments. Someone with experience guiding and mentoring staff, holds them accountable and models a positive culture. The ideal candidate will have a keen focus on patient satisfaction, staff productivity, departmental charges and expenditures, and, is an active participant in our morning huddle.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of all activities in the Cardiopulmonary Department, ABG Laboratory and Cardio-Neuro Department referring out of the ordinary issues to Administration. Supervises and monitors performance of the Cardiopulmonary Staff and Cardio-Neuro staff with physicians, hospital staff, patients and patients’ families and significant others to provide comprehensive care. Provides direct patient care as needed. Collaborates with organizational leadership to standardize services within assigned areas.
May oversee multiple facilities.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate preferred.
- Five (5) years of acute respiratory care management experience required.
- Two (2) years of acute care experience required.
- Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory required.
- Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $91,520.00 to $ on an annualized basis.
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
