• The AICU is a 28‑bed unit staffed by both medical and surgical ICU teams.
• This position is 100% inpatient.
• APPs will work autonomously and in collaboration with Rush pulmonary/critical care attending physicians and fellows.
• Procedures include central line placements, paracentesis, temporary hemodialysis catheter placements, and other critical care duties.

• Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in the ICU.
• APRN candidates must have Acute Care Certification.

• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in Illinois.
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice with clinical specialty appropriate to the position.
• Current certification by ANCC or AANP.
• CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant/Associate in Illinois.
• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program.
• Current certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Per Diem hourly rate: $75/hour
