• Build, foster, and maintain relationships with community members, leaders, and organizations to identify innovative ways to reach underrepresented populations.
• Assist with organization and promotion of events focused on screening and education.
• Facilitate resident and group awareness of available resources such as community organizations, workshops, social services, and the health system.
• Assist with recruitment of community members for workshops, events, and other activities.
• Advocate for community members, especially underrepresented populations, to promote their voice in program aims, design, and outcomes.
• Engage with local organizations and local leaders to align efforts with ongoing programs and leverage capacity and resources.
• Assist with collecting information about population health needs and the program's effectiveness.
• Provide input on initiative design, implementation, and evaluation.

• Education: High school diploma
• Experience: Background in community engagement, outreach, or healthcare/public health settings is beneficial. Must have experience working with and engaging underrepresented populations. Familiarity with the local community (Maywood/Proviso Township) is required.
• Skills: Strong verbal and interpersonal skills, Time management and organizational skills, Respectful and empathetic communication skills, Problem‑solving skills and ability to self‑manage time and organization.

Position Maximum Salary or Hourly Rate:30/hr
Position Minimum Salary or Hourly Rate: $27/hr
