Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center position in Illinois with mandatory floating and a set weekend schedule.
Responsibilities
Work in the Emergency Department of a Level 1 Trauma Center
Patient population includes acute care emergency cases
Three 12-hour shifts per week, 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
Required to work every other weekend
Mandatory floating within scope to other units or facilities, up to 50 miles, potentially with as little as 2 hours notice
Uses Cerner for charting; experience preferred
Must wear navy blue scrubs, which are not provided
Floating may include assignments outside of primary competency, using a team-based model for support
Lab work must be completed within 72 hours after offer acceptance
No block scheduling or special scheduling requests permitted
Maximum of 5 days of RTO allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days and no RTO during or immediately before/after holidays or on weekends
Requirements
Active, non-pending IL RN license required for consideration
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in the Emergency Department
Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
Must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility
Proof of COVID vaccination required
