The Regulatory Consultant will serve as a key resource for our leadership team, providing expertise in state and federal regulations, particularly those governed by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). This role requires a registered nurse with skilled nursing experience in a leadership capacity, strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, and the ability to guide facilities toward compliance and best practices.

- Monitor and ensure facility compliance with IDPH regulations and other applicable federal and state laws.
- Conduct regular audits, surveys, and reviews of clinical and operational practices.
- Provide consultation and recommendations to facility leadership on regulatory matters and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Administrators, and other leadership staff to address regulatory concerns.
- Serve as a resource for staff education and training on regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Prepare and support facilities for state surveys and inspections.
- Identify potential risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in skilled nursing, including leadership or management roles.
- In-depth knowledge of IDPH regulations and federal long-term care requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and influence facility leadership.
- Proven experience in quality improvement, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
