Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MRI / Research Imaging)
Pay: $42–$48 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday; 8AM–5PM
Location: 5841 S Maryland Avenue, Chicago, IL 60637
This role supports advanced MRI and fMRI research studies in a research-focused environment. The position requires MRI certification and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with research teams to ensure safe, accurate, and protocol-driven imaging.
Responsibilities- Perform fMRI and advanced research imaging studies in accordance with established protocols
- Operate Philips 3T Achieva and Philips 3T Ingenia MRI scanners
- Place and manage IV lines for contrast administration
- Partner with research teams on patient preparation, education, and consent processes
- Maintain MRI safety standards and ensure effective scanning practices
- Document scans and workflows in EPIC (training provided if needed)
- Work primarily as a single technologist with leadership support available most days
- Maintain a professional, collaborative, and detail-oriented work environment
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- MRI technologist experience (clinical or research preferred)
- IV placement competency
- Strong attention to detail and adaptability
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with Philips MRI systems and/or EPIC EMR (preferred, not required)
MRI certification through ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT required
