Contract Duration: 13 weeks contract with a possibility of extension

Pay Rate: Up To $23/hr

Work Schedule: Days, 7a-7:30p, 3X12s, 36 hours, every other weekend, every other holiday.

Shift: Days, 7a-7:30p, 3X12s

• Travel experience required
• Local candidates preferred
• BLS required, CNA preferred

• 1. Assists with patient transport and transfer within department and hospital.
• 2. Administers Oxygen via nasal cannula, NRB, and BVM.
• 3. Applies NIBP, ECG electrodes, pulse oximetry and end-tidal CO2 for central monitoring of patients.
• 4. Assists with responding to patient call lights and/or family requests and refers appropriately.
• 5. Assures the safety of the patient population served by demonstrating age-appropriate skills when assisting with nursing care activities as directed by licensed nursing personnel.
• 6. Performs duties generally supportive to the activities of daily living for patients, which do not require nursing assessment skills during their performance.
• 7. Performs unit related tasks as assigned by the Nurse Director, or designee.
• 8. Attends appropriate inservice and educational programs commensurate with job responsibilities.
• 9. Floats to various units, as requested.
• 10. Accepts assignments and under the direction from the Charge RN, or designee.
• 11. Immediately reports changes in patient condition to primary care RN.
• 12. Completes assignments and demonstrates ability to adapt to changes in workload.
• 13. Accurately obtains, documents and reports vital signs and rechecks as needed. Reports abnormal findings to primary RN or Charge RN.
• 14. Accurately measures and documents intake and output as needed.
• 15. Performs capillary blood glucose testing utilizing proper technique and equipment document results and reports abnormal results to RN.
• 16. Performs ECGs.
• 17. Maintains and supports patients rights to care, privacy and respect.
• 18. Participates in unit/hospital projects that seek to improve patient care.
• 19. Other duties as assigned from time to time.
