EMT or Paramedic (PRN) – Medcor

Position:
Onsite Health Technician in Medcor's employer‑based occupational health clinic in Chicago, IL. This role is an as‑needed PRN position with no guaranteed hours.
- Sunday: 7:00 am – 1:00 am
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 6:00 am – 1:00 am
- Wednesday: 6:00 am – 2:00 am
- Saturday: 3:00 pm – 1:00 am
$25.00–$28.00 per hour.

- Collaborate with medical and operational leadership, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the client’s corporate structure.
- Provide patient care and ongoing worker’s compensation case management.
- Facilitate Return to Work (RTW) programs and monitor treatment plans.
- Work closely with outside medical providers.
- Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on‑site clinic.
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees.
- Assess and treat workplace injuries and illnesses per Medcor’s Evidence‑Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs).
- Build and maintain internal team relationships.
- Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
- Conduct pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings.
- Document care with EMR and other tools.
- Case management.
- Medical charting.
- Love what you do.
- Have valid licensure for the position you are applying to.
- Have current CPR/BLS.
- Have strong computer and other technology skills (cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.) and familiarity with EMR software.
- Be strong enough to lift a 50 lb emergency response bag.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a positive and outgoing personality.
- Be willing to go above and beyond.
- Be passionate about people and give them the best care possible.
- Be able to have fun.
- Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment.
- Have relevant occupational health experience.
- Have experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
