Clinic Coordinator - Interventional Radiology

Shift: Shift 1 – 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $17.63 - $27.77 per hour
Summary: Performs clinic activities including answering telephones, patient and visitor reception, administrative office duties, and Health Information Management responsibilities. Requirements- High school diploma
- Basic computer knowledge
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Sensitivity to patient health information and protection of confidentiality
- Ability to utilize EPIC efficiently
- Ability to sit for several hours each day and remain professional and calm under stressful situations
- Ability to adapt to change and be flexible
- Must pass EPIC scheduling test within 45 days of completion of training (3 attempts)
- Ability to travel to offsite locations as needed
- Medical office experience
- Perform a variety of office functions including the retrieval and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, filing, stocking of supplies, and preparation and dissemination of clinic correspondence and completion of Epic Administrative In-Box as directed.
- Access EPIC to retrieve referrals, orders and other documentation. Assist patients with Release of Information requests.
- Maintain and retrieve medical records per HIM and office protocol.
- Address patient calls efficiently and courteously. Take accurate, clear and concise messages that provide sufficient information for the clinical staff and/or receiving party to effectively handle the issue/request.
- Schedule, cancel and/or reschedule patient appointments as assigned. Place reminder calls or send information to patients in advance of their appointment per office policy.
- Appropriately transfer patients to pre-registration for insurance verification.
- Prepare and disseminate patient letters and other correspondence from EPIC.
- Problem solve issues by seeking out the appropriate resources.
- Work collaboratively as part of the medical practice team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
