Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech to join our Primary Care/Urgent Care clinic in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures in a patient-centered environment, assisting our clinical team with accurate diagnostics to ensure the best possible care. Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered by healthcare providers, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations, prioritizing patient comfort, safety, and adherence to imaging protocols.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and accuracy for diagnostic imaging.
- Assist clinical staff with patient intake, history collection, and record management, ensuring proper documentation in the EHR/EMR system.
- Provide patients with clear, concise instructions about procedures while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach to care.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of ultrasound procedures, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain ultrasound supplies, ordering replacements as necessary to ensure smooth workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and imaging standards, following established protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification: Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in an Urgent Care or Primary Care setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills; proficiency in medical imaging software and EHR/EMR systems.
