Human Trafficking Therapist

Base Pay Range

$60,000.00/yr – $76,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

The Human Trafficking Therapist (HTT) provides individual, family, and group therapy and case management to human trafficking clients within agency policies and procedures. Responsibilities include providing direct and family therapy, liaison with Human Trafficking Specialist for needs assessment, and reporting to the Human Trafficking Program Manager.

  • Direct individual and family therapy to a caseload of 12–15 clients, including comprehensive evaluation, treatment planning, effective implementation, and discharge planning.
  • Facilitate 2–4 therapy or psycho educational groups per year (child, parent, combined or family).
  • Perform a variety of casework duties including data collection and analysis.
  • Participate in reflective, clinical and administrative supervision with the clinical supervisor.
  • Attend Family Hope Center department meetings, case consultations and peer consultation processes.
  • Contribute to file reviews and link clients to additional resources such as intensive case management.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and timely client records.
  • Conduct crisis assessments and respond appropriately.
  • Participate in community events and promote a supportive environment.
  • Promote trauma resilience by contributing to projects such as Breathing Room.
  • Serve on MDT case review and case consultation meetings.
  • Participate in Human Trafficking Collaborations and Task Force Meetings.
  • Facilitate trainings with the Human Trafficking Specialist.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Discretion & Supervisory Responsibilities

The HTT has a mid-level range of discretion and independent decision-making. The HTT has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Relationships

The HTT works closely with the Human Trafficking Program Manager, Human Trafficking Specialist, Director of Clinical Services, Family Hope Center team, Advocacy Team, and Family Support Specialists.

Qualifications

Required education, licensure, and experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Licensure as LCPC, LCSW, or PsyD.
  • Minimum of three years providing trauma‑focused evidence‑based therapy to children and adolescents.
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, written, oral, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Flexibility in schedule; travel to client homes or schools; evenings required.
