Data Integrity Coordinator

Salary range: $22.00 - $33.00 per hour.

The Data Integrity Coordinator reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Medicine, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities- Review various internal and external computerized systems and reports to determine correct patient identifying information for Northwestern Medicine Master Patient Index (MPI) and Clinical Information System (CIS).
- Utilize technical expertise to analyze system‑related changes and participate in testing of software modifications.
- Monitor transcription vendors’ quality.
- Provide statistical reports and feedback to management and vendors.
- Monitor report creation, electronic transfer, and dissemination, updating systems accordingly to assure patient care data integrity.
- Respond to offsite vendors, internal customers, and physician inquiries for patient information.
- Maintain system databases for user IDs, passwords, access rights, and template revisions; flag error patient results in CIS.
- Provide system training for physicians, both attendings and house staff.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital or medical office environment focusing on customer service, medical billing, data abstraction, and transcription.
- Demonstrated medical terminology knowledge.
- Strong customer service skills with heavy attention to detail.
- Excellent oral, written, and communication skills along with analytical, leadership, organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
- Strong Epic skills and computer experience with Microsoft applications.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or RHIT/RHIA credentials.
- Strong systems support experience.
