PRN Vascular Ultrasound Technologist
Insight Health Systems – Chicago, IL.
Pay: $45.00/hr – $45.00/hr (Base hourly rate).
Job SummaryInsight Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to perform vascular ultrasound procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role involves arterial duplex, venous duplex, ankle‑brachial index, renal vascular, carotid ultrasound, and vein mapping.
Responsibilities- Operate vascular ultrasound equipment (Zonare, Siemens Sequoia, Accuson) to produce high‑quality images for arterial and venous duplex exams, ABI assessments, renal vascular ultrasound, carotid ultrasound and vein mapping.
- Position and handle patients with professionalism and care, ensuring their comfort and safety during examinations.
- Complete and charge all exams performed; maintain efficient patient workflow and timely service.
- Transmits images and documents to Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS).
- Interact in a professional manner with patients, visitors, and hospital staff regarding the services and operation of the Ultrasound Section.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required.
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited program in Vascular Ultrasound or Medical Sonography required.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification preferred.
- Knowledge of arterial duplex, venous duplex, and ankle‑brachial index (ABI) procedures.
- Proficient in operating vascular ultrasound equipment to produce high‑quality images.
- Strong attention to detail when capturing and documenting ultrasound findings.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on patient interaction and customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams and assist in patient scheduling and flow.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Capable of maintaining accurate records and transmitting images to the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS).
