Regional OnSite Specialist – Chicago, IL
Support daily OnSite operations within an assigned area, focusing on uninterrupted account coverage, on‑the‑job training, and education of OnSite specialists.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical surgical support by managing equipment as it pertains to contracted scopes of work.
- Lead timely and effective on‑the‑job training and onboarding for OnSite specialists.
- Coordinate daily operations with OnSite leaders to ensure effective execution and staffing assessments.
- Maintain readiness to fill anticipated or unplanned staffing gaps.
- Anticipate device needs of the OR staff and surgeon during surgical procedures; coach specialists on anticipating customer needs.
- Provide physicians and OR personnel with information on new and current minimally invasive surgical products.
- Ensure effective surgical care to patients relating to third‑party and Stryker Endoscopy equipment.
- Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of a broad variety of minimally invasive Stryker and third‑party surgical equipment and instruments.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining Stryker Endoscopy equipment.
- Accurately record and report data metrics related to all specific job functions daily.
- Communicate updates on account information to ensure continuous high levels of service.
- Drive adherence with team members to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations, policies, and industry standards.
- Effectively build and maintain relationships with surgeons, patients, OR personnel, Central Processing, Biomed, Sales representatives, OR Management, Hospital Administration, and other Stryker employees and partners.
- Analyze and resolve both routine and non‑routine product issues expediently using independent judgment.
- Adhere to all Stryker and medical facility policies, standards, and procedures.
- Communicate OnSite escalations in partnership with appropriate stakeholders.
- Identify continuing education opportunities; schedule/host in‑services if applicable.
- Attend customer huddles & meetings as invited.
- Coordinate or delegate equipment management, repairs tracking, and loaner coordination if applicable.
- Support projects and continuous improvement initiatives within OnSite.
- Adhere to HIPAA and other related patient confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional appearance, work ethic, and attitude required by Stryker and the medical facility.
- Minimum one year of operating room or sterile processing experience preferred.
- Must be able to complete and maintain vendor credentialing requirements for all assigned accounts.
- Ability to understand account standards and effectively communicate to specialists.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to support the needs of the day and works well under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication.
- Excellent time management skills with independent judgment and critical thinking.
- Must be able to observe and correct minute inconsistencies in printed word, product appearance, etc.
- Must be able to explain and generate detailed guidelines and procedures.
- Support coverage for assigned shift; possible rotating shift and overnight travel.
- Own smartphone; eligible for monthly cell phone stipend.
- HSPA certification as required.
- Medium work:
Exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects. - Must have near visual acuity (corrected) color vision, mobility, bending, standing, walking for extended period.
- Must effectively use computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Must communicate telephonically.
- Work efficiently in high stress and conflict situations.
- Simultaneously address multiple complex problems.
- Work as integral part of team.
- Demonstrate consistent exemplary performance in operating room environment and sterile processing department, handling/washing equipment with blood, bone, tissue.
- Concentration on repetitive tasks with strong attention to detail for extended periods.
