Description:

The Referral Coordinators are core members of Lawndale Christian Health Center’s care teams, defined as a small group of clinical and non-clinical professionals working together to manage the health of a defined population of patients. Referral Coordinators are responsible for referral coordination, insurance verification and authorization, and patient communication about specialty appointments.

Referral Coordinators will work alongside site managers and other members of the care team, delegating tasks and managing daily workflow. Referral Coordinators must be proactive, well-organized, and function well in a fast-paced clinic environment.

• Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
• Strong ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environments.
• Requires experience and demonstrated abilities for working in a multi-cultural setting.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work appropriately.
• Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends if necessary.
• Embraces and personifies the mission of the Lawndale Christian Health Center, by performing work in a whole person way, providing for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of staff members and patients.

• B.S./B.A. in social/health sciences, nursing, or related degree preferred.
• Two or more years of relevant experience preferred.
