The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays and computed tomography. The Radiologic Technologist provides X‑Ray and CT services.
- Perform X‑Ray and CT studies ordered by staff on patients.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them.
- Adjust immobilization devices, move equipment into specified positions, and modify equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- Provide explanations of treatment and answer questions for patients.
- Minimize radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam‑restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection‐control policies and protocols.
- Follow drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid and using the emergency cart.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Actively participate in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
- Complete required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client‑specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.
Basic Requirements/
Certifications:
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Radiology Technician is required, including 6 months within the last year.
- Must have an unrestricted license or be American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certified.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
- Must have completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate or associate degree. U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school training certification (4R0X1, 68P, HM-8451) may also fulfil this requirement.
Physical Requirements:
Must meet pre‑deployment physical requirements. Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.

- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
