The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays and computed tomography. The Radiologic Technologist provides X‑Ray and CT services.

• Perform X‑Ray and CT studies ordered by staff on patients.
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them.
• Adjust immobilization devices, move equipment into specified positions, and modify equipment controls to set exposure factors.
• Provide explanations of treatment and answer questions for patients.
• Minimize radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam‑restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection‐control policies and protocols.
• Follow drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid and using the emergency cart.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Actively participate in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
• Complete required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client‑specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Basic Requirements/

Certifications:

• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Radiology Technician is required, including 6 months within the last year.
• Must have an unrestricted license or be American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certified.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.

Education Required:

• Must have completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate or associate degree. U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school training certification (4R0X1, 68P, HM-8451) may also fulfil this requirement.

Physical Requirements:

Must meet pre‑deployment physical requirements. Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.

• US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
• Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
