Job Description SummaryUnder the direction of the VP of Specialty Sales, manage the development and execution of sales, marketing, and business development activities for a portion of the team members under the VP to exceed revenue and gross margin objectives.
For the assigned reporting group, identify growth opportunities within the specialties of Rheum, Cardiology, Gastro, Derm, and Ophthalmology and include/partner with other Option Care stakeholders as needed. Direct the activities of the Specialty Sales Representatives (SSRs) who report to them to execute strategic account plans that will deliver consistent revenue, margin, and referral growth. Play an active role in account management and business development efforts with team, engaging customers and modeling desired behaviors.
Responsibilities- Drive sales with their assigned team by partnering with operations counterparts to build market growth plans.
- Collaborate across business units, leadership, and sales teams to set goals and develop sales forecasts for each assigned territory.
- Align with national business unit and specialty enterprise objectives.
- Build regional strategic market plans to increase market penetration and develop and implement promotional activities.
- Engage cross‑functionally to ensure alignment of sales efforts with branch personnel and support teams.
- Develop and coach SSRs to deliver consultative sales presentations.
- Maintain relationships with branch management to support sales efforts and resolve issues for Option Care customers.
- Analyze competitors, industry, and sales trends to adjust plans and create new initiatives.
- Monitor team activity to focus on growth targets, provide productivity analysis, and identify training opportunities.
- Serve as an expert in local market dynamics, payer issues, regulations, and payment issues for complex disease states.
- Ensure appropriate staffing, utilization of resources, and performance management of the sales team.
- Identify and develop relationships with alliance partners to increase business.
- Comply with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a clinical field, and at least 1–2 years of business‑to‑business healthcare/medical related sales leadership experience; OR
- High school diploma and/or some college, with 5 years of related B2B healthcare/medical sales experience.
- Experience analyzing and reporting sales data to identify issues, trends, and solutions.
- Experience using and teaching time‑management skills such as prioritizing, organizing, and tracking project plans.
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- MBA in Business Administration with at least 4 years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales experience.
