Beverly, Chicago IL

Schedule:

On‑Site, Sunday 8-4:30pm, Monday 12-8:30pm, Tuesday 10-6:30pm, Wednesday 8-4:30pm, Thursday 12-8:30pm

Pay Range

Base pay range: $56,685.00/yr – $81,000.00/yr

Job Summary

Under the general guidance of the Managing Director of Supportive Services, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Director and/or Associate Director of Clinical Services in delivering high‑quality clinical services throughout all Safety Initiatives. The Clinical Supervisors provide leadership, promote evidence‑based interventions, coordinate with partners, and model collaborative approaches.

Essential Functions Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides direct supervision to clinical staff and master‑level staff working toward advanced licensing, in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Assists Clinical Associate Director in ensuring all licensing and agency standards are met in the area of mental health services.
  • Models Heartland Human Care Services leadership qualities (Responsible, Reliable, Relational, Respectful).
  • Models a multidisciplinary team approach to participant care.
  • Participates in clinical intern selection, interviewing, screening, and designation of appropriate intern supervisors within Youth and Residential Services programs.
  • Provides support to Program Director, Management and Staff.
  • Creates, monitors, and implements group and other psycho‑educational or therapeutic curricula in program.
  • Coordinates and leads the clinical group supervision/consultation meetings as assigned.
  • Manages and participates in all project meetings and maintains the minutes of meetings on a rotating basis.
  • Addresses complaints and resolves problems for both employees and program participants.
  • Performs coordinating and training duties, including preparing staffing assignments, training employees on job duties, and suggesting performance improvement.
  • Provides direction, training, and oversight of all therapeutic services provided by the assigned programs.
  • Ensures staff is allocated to programs and schedules that ensure 7‑day‑a‑week coverage.
  • Provides training to clinical staff (clinical as well as job‑related practical), addresses complaints, and resolves problems for both employees and program participants.
  • Adheres to professional standards set by APA, NASW, IAACB, and private funding sources.
  • Provides direct clinical services as needed, including crisis intervention and training.
  • Supports provision of psychiatric services to minors in care.
  • Provides on‑call 24/7 coverage for crisis situations, including weekends and holidays.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Metric Management & Quality Assurance
  • Ensures program quality related to clinical operations across Safety Initiatives.
  • Ensures department‑wide timely and quality completion of all participant records.
  • Ensures staff completion of quality documentation related to clinical services.
  • Monitors quality implementation of group and other psycho‑educational curricula and therapeutic curricula as appropriate to the therapeutic needs of each program sub‑population.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Mental Health Clinical Practitioner, Clinical Interns.
Education And/or Experience
  • Master’s or doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or another relevant behavioral health discipline from an accredited program with clinical experience a program requirement.
