* What You’ll Do:

*
* · In partnership with the Extractions supervisor, provide daily oversight of a cutting-edge Extractions workflow to provide high-quality next-generation sequencing data with rapid turnaround times, including tumor genomic, germline genomic, and transcriptomic sequencing.
· Establish and maintain appropriate training curricula
· Schedule training and competency assessments for personnel
· Maintain CLIA and CAP compliance regarding equipment, reagents, and staff training
· Aid in quality review of samples within the NGS workflow from extraction to sequencing
· Coordinate the activities and responsibilities of leads and techs to ensure training and clinical workflow are prioritized appropriately
· Participate in the extractions workflow where necessary
· Troubleshoot instrumentation
· Manage exceptions and ensure applicable quality standards are met for atypical sample types
· Other duties as assigned

* Qualifications:

*
* · BS in the biological sciences with at least 4 years of experience
· Ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient related materials in compliance with HIPAA requirements
· Excellent communication skills
· Thrives in a fast-paced environment
· Must have experience working in a molecular lab; prefer experience in Extractions
· Ability to work with others to plan and carry out scientific programs
· Self-driven and works well in an interdisciplinary team with minimal direction
· Strong desire to build products that will save lives and change the course of cancer

** Tues-Fri: 7AM-5:30

PMCHI: $28.50/HR The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and experience. Tempus offers a full range of benefits, which may include incentive compensation, restricted stock units, medical and other benefits depending on the position.
