At AMCI, we are dedicated to providing quality medical services to our patients. We specialize in the evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of injuries which may arise from work, sports, automobile accidents, or other trauma.
AMCI is looking to hire a part-time MRI Tech to assist with coverage 10-15 hours a week at our busy private outpatient MRI center. Shift can be flexible depending on the candidate's availability. The successful candidate will have the technical skills to perform high-quality diagnostic MRI studies for radiologist reporting, strong attention to detail, and an excellent approach to patient care.
MainResponsibilities
- Following and verifying physician orders on what areas of the body to image with the MRI machine.
- Correctly positioning the patient and MRI equipment in order to produce the desired images (GE Ovation MRI Machine).
- Documenting clinical history, verifying patient information, and screening patients for metal or implants prior to every exam.
- Operation of any computer equipment needed to take MRI scan.
- Keeping a detailed log of MRI procedures performed and the specific scanning parameters used to take each diagnostic image.
- Ability to do light, medium or heavy lifting.
- Associate's Degree or its equivalent - Required;
- Graduate of ARRT approved program - Required;
- Minimum of 3 years of MRI Experience - Required;
- CPR Certification - Required;
- Experience working in a clinical setting – Highly Preferred;
- Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Maintain current ARRT certification or receive certification prior to start date.
- Current unrestricted State of Illinois licensure.
