New Grad Registered Nurse Residency Neuro Spine ICU Full-time Nights

Join us as a New Graduate Registered Nurse in the Neuro Spine Intensive Care Unit Residency program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Salary: $36.50‑$58.40 per hour. • Advocate for patient-centered care models, develop individualized nursing plans, include patient advocacy, and use team approaches to achieve daily care goals.
• Protect patients by maintaining a safe environment and addressing conflict situations.
• Maintain clinical expertise by pursuing continuing education and specialty certifications, sharing knowledge with team members, applying critical thinking, and prioritizing interventions.
• Educate patients and families, document outcomes, and adjust plans accordingly.
• Participate in volunteer initiatives and community mentorship.
• Foster professional engagement through committee participation, peer feedback, and quality improvement projects.

Required

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through the American Heart Association
• Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative)
• Oral, listening, and written communication skills
• Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations
• Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data

Preferred

• Experience in a specific clinical area
• Nursing specialty certification, if eligible
