Outpatient Program Coordinator – FLEX/PRN (Oak Park / Chatham Counseling Centers)

Responsibilities- Complete all front‑end administrative and reception responsibilities in the outpatient clinic (answering a multi‑line phone system, routing calls, managing the practice email account, communicating with patients/families/referral sources to schedule appointments, preparing and maintaining provider schedules and billing ledgers).
- Obtain patient insurance information, verify benefits, and communicate with patients/families and providers about benefit verification.
- Submit daily reports regarding clinic appointments and outcomes to the business office for billing.
- Maintain overall organization of the outpatient clinics (file, organize medical records, respond to records requests, organize/re‑order supplies, facilitate payroll submission, and other duties as needed).
- Provide exceptional customer service over the phone and in person to all patients/families/guests.
Education: Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: 1–3 years of administrative experience required. Previous experience with healthcare scheduling and/or billing practices strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification: None.
Knowledge: Excellent communication skills, exceptional level of professionalism, strong organizational skills, and ability to work with multiple computer systems simultaneously. Bilingual in Spanish/English is a strong plus.
Job Classification: Non‑Exempt. This job classification in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. The Employee will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by the Director of Education.
