Postdoctoral Scholar - Jutras Lab

The Jutras lab is recruiting an eager, talented postdoctoral associate to study the biology and pathogenesis of Borrelia burgdorferi—the Lyme disease spirochete. We are seeking someone with exceptional expertise in mouse immunology and/or bacteriology to join our team.

Please note:

Occasional weekends and evenings as requested and with some possible travel, as required.

• Conducting molecular, cellular, and/or experimental models of infection
• Designing experimental approaches, data analysis, background research
• Preparing manuscripts, grant writing, and other scholarly activities

Performs other duties as assigned.

• PhD in Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology (or related fields)

• Molecular Biology techniques
• Able/willing to perform bacterial infectious disease studies in experimental animal models
• Data analytics
• Data presentation

• Productive PhD in an active and engaged environment

• Advanced microscopy
• In vitro and ex vivo mouse immunology
