Responsibilities

Job Summary

Responsible for the evaluation, administration, and oversight of evidence-based occupational or physical therapy services for individuals with Lymphedema. Develops and updates care plans, collaborates with patients and families, and follows regulatory and departmental standards. Supervises therapy assistants and communicates effectively with the healthcare team.

Essential Functions

• Implements individualized treatment plans using skilled therapy techniques and provides instructions to patients and caregivers.
• Evaluates patients, synthesizes data, and establishes treatment goals and discharge plans.
• Maintains accurate documentation including evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge summaries.
• Consults with physicians and communicates patient progress and needs.
• Supervises therapy staff, participates in departmental activities, and stays current with therapy techniques and regulations.

Education

• Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (preferred) or Bachelor's Degree (required) from an accredited university.

Experience

• 1 year MLD in direct patient care (preferred).

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
• Lymphedema Therapy Certification or eligibility to sit for exam – Required
• Occupational Therapy License – Required
• Physical Therapy License – Required
