Orthopedic Medical Coder (Illinois-Based | Hybrid Remote)

📍 Remote with 1 in-office day per month;
Illinois residency required.

A respected healthcare organization near Chicago is seeking a certified Medical Coder with strong experience in Orthopedic coding. This is a direct hire opportunity offering remote flexibility with minimal on-site requirements.

• Apply accurate coding to patient records and resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to clarify charge entries and support appeals.
• Generate audit reports and contribute to coding quality initiatives.
• Address denials and make necessary coding corrections.

• At least 3 years of coding experience, with a focus on Orthopedics.
• Strong understanding of coding audits, appeals, and EHR systems.
• Illinois residency is required.
