Supported Employment Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Misericordia Heart of Mercy is a home to over 600 children and adults with mild to profound developmental disabilities. Misericordia offers a community of care that maximizes the potential for persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities, many of whom are also physically challenged. We provide a continuum of care to meet residents’ diverse needs and aspire for each individual to live as independently as possible in the highest level of community integration feasible.

The CDS Supported Employment DSP helps CDS participants increase their independence while they are engaged in community employment opportunities. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with employers and the public, and may be required to drive frequently with participants and support participants in other community‑based opportunities.
Qualifications- Valid driver’s license, good driving record and comfortable driving vehicles of all sizes.
- Minimum of one year experience supporting persons with intellectual disabilities.
- HSD/GED required.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Ability to interact with community members off campus with ease and confidence.
- A high degree of professionalism and ability to represent Misericordia and its values in the community.
- Strong self‑direction and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with individuals with a variety of intellectual disabilities.
- In good standing with regards to Misericordia policies.
- Demonstrate flexibility.
- Work effectively with CDS staff.
- Committed to ensuring the rights and highest quality of life for the residents.
- Full‑Time, Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑4 pm (hours may vary from 7 am‑5 pm).
- Pay: $20.00–$21.00 an hour.
