In Home Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. This role is vital for enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly seniors and those with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence.

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
• Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Assist clients with dementia care, utilizing appropriate techniques to ensure comfort and safety.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to family members or healthcare professionals.

• Experience in long-term care or senior care is preferred.
• Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or other disabilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring the safety of both the caregiver and the client.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for building trust with clients.
• Previous experience as a nurse or in a healthcare-related field is beneficial but not required.
