Position: HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will serve as an initial reviewer of eligibility for naval service utilizing applicable directives and regulations.
* You will review enlistment applications and process actions involving complex and unusual procedures.
* You will identify gaps and/or inconsistencies in the application and obtain date needed to complete the action.
* You will review forms, documents, and other related information from enlisted applicants and construct initial enlisted service records.
* You will ensure that the service records are complete and conform to applicable regulations. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
* Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

* Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
* Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
* Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Maintaining accurate and up-to-date personnel records, forms and files;
2) Utilizing automated systems for HR support, including processing actions, maintaining databases, and reviewing information for discrepancies; and
3) Preparing correspondence, reports, and other documents

Education In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of at least four full academic years of education above high school or A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
