CREDIT ANALYST/ASSOCIATE– UNDERWRITING/PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
Private Credit
Chicago, IL
Role requires prior work experience: formal credit trained in a bank, debt fund, finance company, or investment bank.
Firm DescriptionKnight & Associates has been retained for the following opportunity in the Chicago area.
Opportunity to join a recently formed private credit platform as one of the first team members. Great American Capital Corporation, LLC (GACC), GA Group’s new asset-based lending and private credit platform was created to provide flexible capital solutions to middle-market companies navigating complex and capital-intensive growth cycles. GACC is building the platform alongside GA Group and Oaktree, two highly respected organizations with deep market expertise and an unparalleled understanding of asset values.
Together, and with a high-caliber, experienced team, we aim to become a reliable and creative capital solutions partner for mid-market companies.
The firm provides term loans ranging in size from $20 – 100 million that are secured by collateral such as accounts receivable, inventory, equipment, real estate, or IP. Deal situations include turnarounds and restructures, bankruptcy reorganizations (debtor-in-possession financings), leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, highly seasonal and high growth situations. GACC is a generalist lender financing manufacturers, distributors and service providers and is building a team from the ground up.
GACC is located in Chicago and Boston.
The firm is adding to its Chicago headquarters team. The role offers excellent opportunities for advancement with increasing levels of responsibility given the growth of the firm and being in the headquarters location. Another attractive factor is working for a non-bank that doesn’t have the regulatory and compliance constraints of bank-owned ABL groups. That translates into more creative and flexible transaction structuring capabilities, and not having as much time consumed with non-valued added compliance work.
