Financial Manager
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, is responsible for overseeing all payroll, budget and financial related matters in an assigned region/department. This includes all accounting, cash flow, invoices and all other budget and financial issues within that region/department. Performs related duties as required.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
- Prepares and monitors the region/department budget.
- Maintains accounts of all revenues, expenditures and cost accounting for all operational facilities.
- Advises and supports department heads, Region Managers and Area Managers regarding financial issues including resource allocations and budget transfers.
- Maintains financial records and monthly financial reports for the region/department.
- Reviews and monitors costs, invoices, purchasing and cost expenditure patterns.
- Analyzes financial trends and practices.
- Supervises Finance Coordinators performing financial administrative, clerical duties and department support staff.
- Maintains liaison with the administrative office.
- Works with the division region, area and department heads in developing the budget, operational procedures and the best practical administrative procedures for regions/departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training and
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field supplemented by five (5) years of related financial experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in governmental or other public sector financial operations is preferred. CPA is recommended.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of accounting principles, purchasing, payroll and related procedures.
- Ability to communicate financial and administrative issues to the respective managers.
- Skill set to include: analytical, report writing, oral and written communication.
- Ability to manage and delegate work to support staff. Computer skills including Oracle, Microsoft systems, Excel.
