Vice President of Finance

Swoon is seeking a strategic and results-driven VP of Finance to lead our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function and drive forecasting, budgeting, and financial strategy across the organization. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial insights, supporting growth initiatives, and maintaining a strong financial foundation for the company.

• Lead the FP&A function, including budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth and profitability
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Provide actionable insights through variance analysis, trend identification, and scenario modeling
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting tools
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls
• Collaborate with department leaders to align financial goals with operational objectives
• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial partners
• Mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including FP&A and strategic planning
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial modeling, and forecasting best practices
• Experience in the staffing industry strongly preferred
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work onsite in Chicago Monday through Wednesday
